July Dosu Drop: Addition by Subtraction
No more waitlist, simpler Knowledge Cache tools, and new stats on Dosu's impact.

Welcome back to the monthly Dosu Drop! This month it's all about addition by subtraction: removing the waitlist, simplifying our MCP tools so agents use them more effectively, and helping you spend fewer tokens.
No more waitlist
First, we removed the waitlist for new users onboarding to Dosu. We like our sales team, but we know a lot of you would rather not get on a call with them - so now, you don't have to.
With our improved CLI-driven onboarding, you can get started easier than ever. Save time and tokens by letting Dosu manage knowledge for your coding agent:
curl -fsSL https://cli.dosu.dev/install | sh
Simplified Knowledge Cache tools
Speaking of coding agents, they're worse than you might expect at using complex MCP tools. So, we've simplified our MCP to its most essential elements: there's a tool to read knowledge, a tool to write knowledge, and a tool to review recent knowledge updates.
Your agent can read from Dosu's team-wide knowledge cache to get context immediately instead of doing fresh research. As you work, the agent will write key decisions and insights back to Dosu for next time. It's really that simple, but as you'll see in a moment, it can help quite a lot…
Knowledge Cache stats in Analytics
To show the impact of connecting your teams' coding agents to Dosu, we've also upgraded the Analytics tab in our app with a new section dedicated to Knowledge Cache stats. Here's what it looks like for our own Dosu usage:

The key stat for me is the 91% hit rate. For our team, 9 out of 10 agent requests get back relevant knowledge from Dosu. That means our agents start writing code sooner, produce more consistent outcomes, and consume fewer tokens in the process. Your agent has less work to do, so it's easier to get things done.
Support for Azure DevOps
I'm breaking the theme here; this one is just addition by addition. If your code lives in Azure DevOps, you can now integrate it with Dosu! Add it as a Source in your Library. Just like GitHub and GitLab, Dosu can learn from your repo and monitor for changes to keep your knowledge fresh.
That's all for this month! As always, we love to hear your feedback and suggestions on Discord.
