Welcome to the Dosu Drop for November!
This month we want to begin by expressing our thanks to all of you. Whether you're a long-time Dosu supporter or just getting started, we're glad you're here. And to show our appreciation, we've been hard at work adding new features: changelogs, custom response guidelines, better mobile support and more. Let's get into it.
Ask Dosu for a Changelog
Want to catch up on what’s new after some holiday time off? Now Dosu can write Changelogs! Unlike your living Documentation and Answers, Changelogs are fixed snapshots from a specific period of time. Just send a message on any platform telling the Dosu agent what you want to see…

…and it will appear in the Dosu app under your Documents.

Custom Response Guidelines
I like my Thanksgiving meal buffet style: pile up your favorites, skip what you don’t want. This month, we brought that approach to Dosu’s response style. Hate bullet points? Tell Dosu you’re on a strict no-lists diet. Love Mermaid diagrams? Ask Dosu to pour ‘em on thick. You can customize Dosu’s Response Guidelines for each of your Channels on the settings page.

Send Dosu Answers to Cursor
Dosu will always be our favorite AI, but it can’t do everything on its own. Our focus is context, not coding, so we’re cooking up a big batch of new features that let Dosu’s deep, living knowledge supercharge your code generation workflows in other tools. This month, we have a small appetizer to share: you can send a Dosu response directly to Cursor. Just click the “Open in Cursor” link from any Dosu reply on GitHub or In-App Chat.

Weekly Digest
Recently, you may have noticed that Dosu is showing up in your inbox more often than just the monthly Drop. We added a weekly digest to help you see what your team is up to and how Dosu is helping out.
If you’re an inbox minimalist, you can opt out of the digest on your Profile settings.

Custom Organization Logos
Bring your own branding to your Public Spaces — or just make things feel a bit more like home on Private ones — with a custom logo for your Organization. Organization Owners can upload an image in the Organization Settings. The logo will appear in the sidebar to add a dash of personalization to your Dosu experience.

You can see this feature in action on ask.cncf.io, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s Dosu-powered knowledge base, just launched for KubeCon. Check it out if you want to learn about CNCF projects, governance, events, and ways to contribute.

Improved Mobile Support for the Dosu App
Travel plans coming up? Take Dosu with you. We’ve reworked our web app’s mobile user experience, so now it’s easy to use Dosu on the go. You can ask questions, read your docs or even generate new ones. If you have ideas for how we can further improve the mobile experience, please share your feedback on our Discord.
Smoother Slack Backfilling
Earlier this year, Slack drastically reduced rate limits for retrieving historical messages, which had been causing high error rates when backfilling data for newly-added Slack Data Sources. Recently, we made improvements to our pipeline so that historical data should reliably trickle in at the glacial pace allowed by Slack. We’re also working hard to earn full marketplace approval, which would get us much more generous rate limits, so hopefully we will be able to sync historical Slack data much faster soon.
That’s all for this month! Pop in to the Discord if you’d like to give feedback or just chat about the future of Dosu. You can also check out our recently-updated our landing page to learn more about what Dosu can do for you and what we’ve got in the pipeline.
